Please read the following information about technology requirements in an online course. These requirements must be addressed before you begin the coursework.

Plug-ins

It is possible that you will need plug-ins such as Adobe Acrobat Reader in this course. If you need a particular plug-in, a link to download the plug-in is provided in the course. Running a check with the browser checker should indicate if you have the plug-ins required.

Internet Connection

It is highly recommended that you use an Internet connection faster than a telephone dial-up connection. DSL or cable internet access at home or a high bandwidth connection on a campus are suitable.

Course Requirements - Minimum Technical Skills

In order to succeed in this course, you will need the following skills:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (esp. Word and PowerPoint)
• Ability to use email and to upload and download attachments.
• Ability to find files on your machine and upload them into D2L
• Comfortable with searching the internet and using internet resources

Technology Requirements:

1. Regular access to a computer that is connected to the internet (preferably high speed connection)
2. Headset with microphone. These can be found for $20 or less in most stores including Target, Best Buy, Office Depot, etc.
3. Microsoft Office (or other program that can save in .doc or .docx format)
4. Visual Studio 2015
5. Webcam
